Artwork Requirements For Custom Engraving and Imprints

Artwork Guidelines:

Logo artwork to be submitted for customizing an item with laser engraving, etching, or pad imprinting should be in a vector format compatible with Adobe Illustrator. Your vector graphic file should not contain any raster elements such as JPEG or GIF images, raster images tend to distort and will not engrave properly.

All artwork submitted should be in solid black and white containing no gradients or halftones. Fonts should be converted to outlines or the original font files should be sent along with the artwork.

Preferred File Formats
  • Adobe Illustrator .ai file type
  •  EPS .eps file type

The image to the right illustrates the difference between a vector graphic (.ai, .eps) and a raster image (JPEG, BMP, GIF)
We recommend sending your logo artwork and any additional engraving text already laid out in your .ai or .eps graphic file just as you would like it to appear within the engraving area. If the item is being personalized with a different name on each piece please submit your list of names in an Excel spreadsheet.
